Wedding photography in San Francisco and Bay Area by Vilen Rodeski

Choosing the right photographer for your wedding is a sure investment in lasting memories. Finding a photographer with the talent and skills to fulfill your vision is even harder. There are several styles of wedding photography and getting familiar with them will save you a great deal of time in your search for the right photographer. Below you can see the images from a single wedding and how Vilen incorporates all three styles in them..

Traditional Wedding Photography style:
Traditional Wedding Photography
This classical style of carefully posed photographs gives you photographs that are timeless and don't reflect the current trend that changes every year. The photographer is usually given a list of "Must have shots". With it you will be able to get all the shots on the list but it is usually time consuming and restricts the photographer's creativeness, preventing him from capturing candid moments and true feelings of the day.
Photojournalistic Wedding Photography style:

This style (also known as contemporary style) is a documentary approach, where the photographer is given a freedom to quietly and unobtrusively shoot candid photos of the whole wedding. This style can result in unique images that later tell the story of your wedding as it happened. There is no list of pictures to take and the photographer fully relies on his instincts capturing truly distinctive and unpredictable photographs.
Illustrative Wedding Photography style:

This style relies on photographer's artistic skills and carefully selected location with scenic backgrounds. After the photographer has set the scene, the couple is given a freedom to be spontaneous and interact with each other while the photographer is capturing images that blend the couple with the scenic background. The outcome are the pictures that look and feel like beautiful paintings.
